Pedro Saldanha Werneck - RW CINE
Associate director, RW CINE is a brazilian film production company specializing in independent documentary films for television about wild nature, indigenous and African-Brazilian culture. With over 20 years of field experience, Pedro has accumulated an impressive film archive, with photos and videos documenting most of the Brazilian territory. Pedro recently worked as a consultant and producer for two documentaries about the descent of the Amazon River from the source to the mouth, through Peru, Colombia and Brazil for Brazil’s popular TV Globo show, "Globo Reporter.” He also directed for 15 years the show "Expedições,” focused on Brazilian nature and culture, for 22 years. The program airs on the Brazilian public channel, TV Brasil. His work has been featured by several different television broadcasters, including in Brazil: TV Globo Brasil, TV Brasil, TV Cultura and the former TV Manchete, as well as by international broadcasters, such as PBS, NHK, ZDF, TV Perú, TV 5, RTS, TF1 among others. "DNA doesn’t lie, Pedro Werneck is a chip off the old block; he is the son of journalist, author and book illustrator, Paula Saldanha and biologist/photographer, Roberto Werneck. He was born living the expeditionary adventure of his parents. Pedro, in addition to his passion for nature and adventure, is a documentary film maker specialized in productions concerning the environment. He became a director, photographer and editor of the company created by his parents, Paula and Roberto."
